"Bad Carbohydrates" you ask? "Bad Carbohydrates" can easily be defined as everything that is NOT "good carbs"! To go one further, "bad carbs" must be everything we have learned to love to eat that is not good for us. "Bad carbs" are not converted to energy by the body, but are in fact, converted to fat. "Bad carbs" are high in fat, high in sugar, high in white flour, high in starches, etc. Yes, they DO taste good, but taste isn't everything! Well, ok, so taste is very important to those of us who love to eat, but we don't have to jeopardize taste, but we CAN find new tastes that are just as satisfying.
"Bad carbohydrates" include processed foods, pre-packaged foods, most of what we call fast food, sugar-laden desserts, etc. When it comes to carbohydrates, if it doesn't have fiber it isn't very good for you!
